Dale joined the VFW in 2015. When he was told about the VFW from a 92 year old WW2 Veteran named Walter Hickman. For years Dale paid his dues, but was busy with life, and was not very active, After retiring in Oct 2021 Tammy his wife told him. "You needed to get out of the house and go volunteer up at the VFW." Since that date Dale has intrenched himself in learning every aspect of the VFW.
Dale was appointed Adjutant at Post 10302, Assistant Chair of Membership for Department of Illinois, and also Assistant Chair of Membership District 10
We can all help the VFW in some way shape or form. We as Veterans need to make the correct choices to be able to leave the Post for future Veterans. We must stand fast in our commitment to the VFW, and all the great work it does.
